Yolanda Denise Vann-Stokley

With an abundance of love and concern, the Horton Family is embracing the heartbroken loved ones of Mrs. Yolanda Denise Vann-Stokley as they prepare to say “Farewell” to this vital link to their family chain. Mrs. Vann-Stokley closed the curtains on this journey called life on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. 

Private Services will be held. 

Yolanda Denise Vann-Stokley 59, of Edenton, NC was born on November 15, 1965 and raised in New York City. She graduated from Elizabeth City State University with a masters degree in sociology. Yolanda spent the majority of her years as an administrator working in New York City courts, and the Police Department. Those close to her know, she was most passionate about serving her community as an activist. In her later years, Yolanda became a taxi driver in the town she loved and lived in, providing services to as many people as possible in her community, because of the limited transportation in the area. Yolanda passed away on October 29, 2025. It is for certain Yolanda had a heart bigger than this world and will truly be missed. She leaves behind her family and friends that will forever cherish memories made with and of her.
