Willie Mae (Holley) Stallings

With humbled hearts and consoling minds, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family serves notice that Mrs. Willie Mae Stallings laid down the cares of this world on Sunday, April 30, 2023. From there, she picked up her new wardrobe and golden keys for her everlasting life in Heaven.

The Glorious and Triumphant Life Celebration events have been methodically orchestrated and will proceed in the following order. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 2pm at Edenton United Methodist Church in Edenton, NC with Pastor George Harper, Officiating and Pastor Robin Stallings, Eulogist. Mrs. Stallings will lie in peaceful repose from 1pm until time of service. 

Immediately following the order of service, an intimate Committal Service will come forth in the Ryan’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. It is in this place that her physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.

Now Willie Mae can find peace knowing she is now sitting at the welcome table hearing the Master say “Well-Done” thou good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over the things on earth, now I will make you ruler over many. 

Willie Mae Stallings leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years, Wayland Haywood Stallings Sr. With their union, four children were born. She leaves cherished memories with her three daughters; Ruby D. Stallings of Clayton NC, Robin L. Stallings of Chesapeake VA, and Selina L. Stallings of Raleigh NC; One son, Wayland H. Stallings Jr. of Waynesboro VA. Siblings; Sarah L. Beasley (deceased), Barbara A. Biggs, Mack W. Biggs, James J. Biggs, Robert L. Biggs, David Q. Biggs, Charlie Biggs (deceased), and Garfield Biggs (deceased). Willie Mae leaves behind her precious grandchildren; Staff Sergeant Roy Stallings, JoVoughtnie Privott, JaLeesa Bonner, Chaneika Barber, Rhakeem Stallings, and Nassir Ford. She also leaves behind four great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Guests are being received at 214 Old Hertford Road Edenton, NC 27932 where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
