Willie Edward Felton Sr.

With sincere compassion and concern, the Horton Family stands hand in hand with the relatives of Mr. Willie Edward Felton Sr., as they prepare to celebrate his lasting legacy. Mr. Felton transitioned into eternal rest on November 24,2019 after receiving his heavenly summons while residing in the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation Center Hertford,NC.

Celebration of Life events will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 beginning with a public viewing visitation at the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations between the hours of 5pm and 7pm. On Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 2pm at First Baptist Missionary Church a Celebration of Life will be called to order with Rev. Johnthan S. Franklin officiating. Immediately following the recessional out of the sanctuary, Mr.Felton's physical temple along with his cherished family will be escorted to the Cedarwood cemetery in Hertford, NC  for Interment Rites. It will be an adjustment for Mr.Felton's family and friends not being able to spend time with him any longer while here. However, the silver lining is just as the songwriter penned, “When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus we will sing and shout the victory.” 

Mr. Felton was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Whidbee Felton. He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Carolyn Felton Hill of Virginia Beach,VA and Irene Felton of Hertford,NC; five sons, Cleophus Felton, of Hertford, NC, Donald Felton of Wilmington, NC, Willie E. Felton, Jr (Amanda) of Hinesville, Ga,  Raleigh Felton (Catherine) of Hertford, NC and Artist Felton of Edenton, NC;  six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Fannie Daniels of Brooklyn, NY, Betty White and Doris Felton; brother, Charlie Felton, all of Hertford, NC. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The compassionate professionals at Horton’s Funeral Homes and Cremations are working around the clock to ensure that the Felton and connected families every need is attended too.
