With tender hands of compassion and genuine hearts of love, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family joins with the devoted loved ones of Mr. Walter Junior Johnson as they prepare to say “Until We Meet Again." Mr. Johnson was greeted by his loving Savior Jesus Christ along with others in the Heavenly Host on Monday, October 4, 2021. 

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Walter have been finalized and will commence on Sunday, October 10, 2021 beginning with viewing and visitation at Horton’s Memorial Chapel between the hours of 6 and 7pm. Mr. Johnson’s family will climax his life remembrance with a “Loving Farewell” Ceremony beginning at 1pm at Hortons Memorial Chapel in Columbia, NC.

As hard as it will be for Walter’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
