Bowing in humbled submission to the will of the Master, it has become the solemn responsibility of the Horton’s Funeral Home Family and Staff to inform all, that Mr. Tracy Dejion Powell is now resting in Paradise. Mr. Powell put down the cares of this life on Friday, April 17, 2026.
Services to honor this loving son and man of God will begin on Saturday, April 25, 2026 with hours of visiting and reflecting from 4pm to 6pm, as Mr. Powell lies in peaceful repose at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations in Hertford, NC. A Triumphant Celebration of Life Ceremony will commence at 3pm on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Carpenter’s Shop International Church in Ahoskie, NC.
On Monday, April 27, 2026 at 12Noon, Mr. Powell’s earthen vessel along with his adored family, will be escorted to White Oak Missionary Baptist Church for Committal Rites.
Guests are being received at his mothers’ residence located at 107 Saunders Park Lane Ahoskie, NC 27910 where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
As difficult as it will be for Tracy’s family, friends, and colleagues to cope and continue this walk of life without him, all will find solace knowing he’s is in that land where there is a tree and its leaves are good for the healing of all infirmities. There, Tracy is resting by the brook flowing with living water, forever resting in eternal splendor.
