With tender hearts and compassionate hands, the Horton’s  Funeral Home Family announces the earthy transition of a gentle soul, Thomas James Dobson quietly stepped out of life's backdoor to meet his Heavenly Father on Thursday May 23,2024 at Methodist Presbyterian Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday May 30,2024 at 1pm in the Sanctuary of First Missionary Baptist Church of Kenansville in Kenansville,NC. Viewing will take place from 12noon until time of service. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss. 

Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr. Dobson’s delicate temple along with his adored family will be escorted to the Dobson Family Cemetery for committal rights.

As hard as it will be for loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
