Tammy Anita “Sasa” Watson

Bowing in humbled submission to the will of our Heavenly Father, it has become the solemn responsibility of Horton Funeral Homes to inform all that Ms.Tammy Anita Watson is now resting in paradise. Ms.Watson put down the cares of this Life Saturday, August 14,2021. 

Tammy is survived by her oldest, daughter Tiesha Watson, RN; her baby boy Marod Watson; daughter-in-law Tamara Watson, RN; grandsons & granddaughter Daniel Liverman, Jayden Chavies, Tayvon Watson, Kori Williams; Two nieces Tonya Gibbs & Terri Hooper; Nephews Christopher Ellis & Edward L Hooper III; cousins Doris Watson, NIna Watson and Kimberly Mcrae; Life-long friends Audrey Lee Freeman & William “Jubo” Powell; The Birthday Club: Ernell, CT, Easter, Debra, Vincent, Eric, Misha; her favorite doctor Micheal Sue; Higher Ground Productions; and a slew of cousins, grand niece & nephews, family, and special friends.

On Friday, August 20,2021 from 4-6pm in the viewing Parlor at Horton’s Funeral Home those who wish to pay homage to Ms. Watson and her loving family may join them for moments of Viewing and Visitation. On Saturday August 21,2021 beginning at 11am a formal Service of Remembrance will be held at Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations with Bishop David Hill, officiating. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss. Immediately following the services in the Chapel Ms. Watson’s earthen vessel along with her cherished family will be escorted to Carver Memorial Cemetery Suffolk, VA for committal rights. As hard as it will be for Ms. Watson’s loved ones to depart without her, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
