Steven Odell “Fresh” Goodman

As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Mr. Steven Odell Goodman as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with him. Mr. Goodman got his ticket and stepped on that Morning Train Saturday, July 30, 2022. 

A Triumphant Celebration of Life Service honoring a Life Well-Lived will begin on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 1pm White Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Tyner, NC with Dr. Darius J. Horton, Officiating/Eulogist. 

Immediately following the order of service, an intimate Committal Service will come forth in the White Oak Church Cemetery. It is in this place that his physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.

As hard as it will be for Mr. Goodman’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
