Sharon Elliott (“Peaches”) Gordon

As difficult as the loss of a loved one is, it’s extremely difficult right after the holidays. The staff and management of the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations embrace the loving family of Mrs. Sharon Elliott Gordon better know as “Peaches” as they remember this precious jewel. Mrs. Gordon retired from life’s fitful fevers on January 5, 2020 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC.

The Obsequies for Mrs. Gordon will begin on Saturday January 11,2020 with a memorial service from 5-7pm at First Baptist Missionary Church. On Sunday, January 12, 2020 wa public visitation will be held between the hours of 2pm and 3pm in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Missionary Church Hertford, NC. Beginning promptly at 3pm a Triumphant Life and Legacy Celebration will begin in the Sanctuary with Rev. Johnthan S. Franklin, officiating. 

Following the conclusion of the ceremonial acts in the sanctuary “Peaches” along with her adored relatives and friends will be escorted to the Cedarwood Cemetery where there will be an intimate committal service by the graveside.  It will be in this designated location that “Peaches” will remain until Gabriel blows his trumpet and the King of Kings descends from Heaven with one foot on the celestial seas and one foot on a crimson cloud commanding all of His beloved children to enter into their mansion beyond the skies.
