Shady Bennett Obituary

With tender hands of compassion and genuine hearts of love, the Horton Family joins with the devoted loved ones of Mr. Shady Wendell Bennett as they prepare to say “until we meet again."  Mr. Bennett was greeted by his loving Savior Jesus Christ on October 22, 2021.

The Services honoring Mr. Bennett’s legacy will begin with hours of visiting on Friday, October 29, 2021 between the hours of 5pm and 7pm at Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations. During this time, family and friends can gather and remember better days with Mr. Bennett while relying on their faith to get them through this difficult time. On Saturday, October 30,2021 commencing at 11am, a Triumphant Celebration of Life Ceremony will take place at the Oxley Hill Baptist Church with Bishop David L. White, officiating and Pastor Jacob Burke, eulogist. Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr. Bennett’s delicate temple along with his adored family will be escorted to the Beaver Hill Cemetery for committal rights. As difficult as it will be for his wife, children and other family members to dismiss from this earthly resting place without Shady, all will find solace knowing he is in that land where there is a tree and its leaves are good for the healing of all infirmities. There, he will rest by the brook flowing with living water, forever resting in eternal paradise.
