Semajs Ra’Shun “Shake” Short

In extreme sorrow, the staff of Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations is embracing the tender hearts of the family of Mr. Semajs Ra’Shun Short affectionately know as “Shake” who received his angelic wings March 29,2022.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday April 9,2022 at 2pm in the Sanctuary of Branches Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Moments of Visitation have been allotted prior to the Service from 1pm until 2pm. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss. 

Following the order of service, Mr. Short’s physical temple along with his cherished loved ones will be escorted to the Branches Chapel Church Cemetery for Interment Rites.

Guests are being received at her residence 46 Coleus Lane Roanoke Rapids, NC where they will assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton’s Ebony Motorcade.

Those left to cherish his loving memories are his daughter, Sereniquee Edwards of Washington,DC; his mother and father Metokia Short Majette (Robin) of the home; sister Arianna Majette; brother Robin Majette Jr.; nephews, Arquon and Zayveon; grandfather Bruce Jones; aunts, Sherita Short, Dreaka Brown, Joslyn Rivers; uncles, Bruce Jones Jr., Bruce Jones, Frank Phipps and Tyrelle Jones; special grandmother Queen Scott (Carl); special aunt and uncle Frank and Mary Dailey; God brothers Lewis, Tre Turner and Calvin Robinson (CWizz);a host of aunts uncles great aunts,uncles cousins and friends
