Sarah Lee (Biggs) Beasley

As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Mrs. Sarah Lee Biggs Beasley as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with her. Mrs. Beasley got her ticket and stepped on that Morning Train Sunday, November 6, 2022. 

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Sarah have been finalized and will commence with a Celebration of Life on Friday, November 11, 2022, at Ryan’s Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 1pm with Rev. George Harper, Officiating and Dr. Darius J. Horton, Eulogist. 

Immediately following the order of service, an intimate Committal Service will come forth in the Ryan’s Grove Church Cemetery. It is in this place that her physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.

As hard as it will be for Sarah’s loved ones to depart without her, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”

Guests are being received at the Daughter’s residence located at 3090 Boswell Street Edenton, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.

She leaves to cherish her husband, Joseph Lee Beasley Jr., her hearts, daughter, Josette Lee Beasley Carter, and grandson, Corporal Josiah LeeRone Carter.  Two sisters, Willie Mae Stallings (Wayland Stallings, Sr.) and Barbara Ann Biggs.  Brothers, Mack William Biggs, James Biggs, Robert Lee Biggs and David Quinton Biggs, Sr. (Romaine Biggs); numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins
