In extreme sorrow, the staff of Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations is embracing the tender hearts of the family of Mr. Samuel Adams. Mr. Adams entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 5, 2025.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11am at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations with Reverend Adrian Hospedale, Eulogist. Mr. Adams will lie in peaceful repose from 10am until time of service. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss.
Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr. Adams earthen vessel along with his adored family will be escorted to Rogerson Family Cemetery for Committal Rites.
Sam was preceded in death by wife, Evelyn Adams; Dwayne Kelley, Selina Waithe, his parents, his brothers, Charles Adams, Jr., Reginald Adams, and Vernon Adams Sr., his sister Ethel Jones, his sister-in-law Lucille Adams, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
He leaves to mourn his memories, his son Donald Gonzales, Denise Syms & Roger Syms, Greta Adams, Donavan Jones & Jessica Richardson, Mavis Elaine and Joseph Williams Sr., Robyn Taylor, Darryl Best, twelve grandchildren, Ashly, Keona, Amir, Joseph Jr., Alexander, Alea, Shaneequa, Manny, Brittany, Christana, Chelsea, and Sarai, 8 great grands, Kalani, Sha’areef, Alya, Jabari, James, Caleb, Michael Jr. and one on the way, twosisters-in-laws, one brother-in-law, 3 Aunts, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
