With loving arms of compassion the Horton’s Funeral Home Family is consoling the heartbroken loved ones of Ms. Sallie Ann Sutton as they prepare to take a journey that no family wishes to take. Ms. Sutton closed the curtains of life Monday October 5,2020 while resting at Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital Newport News, Virginia.
The “Dash” between Sallie Ann’s year of birth and year of leaving this world will be honored on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 2pm at Horton’s Funeral Home Chapel in Hertford Between the hours of 1pm until time of service, Ms. Sutton will lie in repose for those who wish to spend moments with her prior to the Celebratory Events. Although it will be a major adjustment for her family with Sallie Ann no longer being present to enjoy precious moments, all can find comfort realizing she is sitting at the Welcome Table with all of the saints that have gone on before her, beholding the Master’s Glory as she receives her golden keys and her crown of righteousness.
Sallie Ann was preceded in death by her father, George Lewis Sutton; brother, George Lewis Sutton Jr; sister, Monzola Elizabeth Sutton and nephew, George Lewis Sutton III. She leaves to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy; one daughter, Rovicka Sutton of Newport News; four sisters, Georgiana Pickett (Rodney), Martha Jones( James) Amerry Jones (Earl), Lisa Sutton; one brother, Charlie Sutton and best friend of 40+ years Cynthia Perry and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
