Rosa Olds

With sincere compassion and concern, the Horton Family stands hand in hand with the relatives of Mrs. Rosa Olds as they prepare to celebrate her lasting legacy. Mrs. Olds transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday, October 13, 2024 receiving her heavenly summons while resting at her residence. 

A Triumphant Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11am at St. John Baptist Church. A Viewing and Visitation will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Horton’s Memorial Chapel in Columbia, NC. It will be an adjustment for Mrs. Olds’ family and friends not being able to spend time with her any longer while here.  However, the silver lining is just as the songwriter penned, “When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus we will sing and shout the victory.” 

Immediately following the order of service, a Committal Service will come forth in the St. John Baptist Church Cemetery. It is in this place that her physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.
