The moment has come and the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family has been given the solemn duty to announce that Mr. Richard Halsey Jr. is no longer troubled with the cares of this world but he is now resting among the Heavenly Host. Mr. Halsey began his life of everlasting peace on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Mr. Halsey have been finalized and will commence on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 2pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with Minister Sandra Cofield, Officiating and Reverend Donald Hassell, Eulogist.
Immediately following the formalities in the Chapel, Mr. Halsey’s earthen vessel along with his cherished family will be escorted to the Beaver Hill Cemetery for Committal Rites.
Richard leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters: Patricia Halsey Holley of Edenton, NC, Sharon Halsey Brooks (William); Brother: Clifton Edward Halsey of Brooklyn. NY; Sisters: Arlene Halsey Bunch (Willie) of Fayetteville, NC; Anne Halsey Harvey (Fred) of Hertford, NC; and Janet Halsey Bunch (Bobby) of Durham, NC; six grandchildren: Devin Hoffler (Cecelia); Jordan Holley, Sharonda Hoffler, Ayesha Brooks, William Brooks Jr, Ariana Twine: Two great- grandchildren: Jakhi McCullen, Malachi Hoffler; one Uncle: Daniel Hassell of Edenton, NC; two sister -in- laws: Hattie Leary and Tassie Nixon; a special friend, Della Hassell, of Greenville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
