The book of Job declared "the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." It is with genuine sadness that the Horton’s Funeral Home Family announces the earthly departure of Mrs. Pecora Vonela Winborne. Mrs. Winborne moved into her Heavenly home on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Mrs. Winborne have been finalized and will commence on Saturday, August 27, 2022 between the hours of 5pm and 7pm for moments of Viewing and Visitation at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations. A Triumphant Celebration of Life will be called to order on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 2:30pm at Bethlehem Apostolic Faith Church of God and Christ with Dr. Kera Johnson, Eulogist.
Immediately following the proceedings in the house of God, Mrs. Winborne’s delicate temple along with her adored family, will be escorted to the Tucker Family Cemetery for Interment Rites.
Although Mrs. Winborne’s family will leave that earthly resting place without this virtuous woman, they will rest knowing that she is now among the Heavenly Hosts singing that glorious hymn "When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we will sing and shout the victory."
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her three children, Melissa Penny (Robert) of Franklinton, North Carolina, Laqua Winborne (Aisha) of Hertford, North Carolina and Ronnie Winborne Jr. of Richmond, Virginia; Eleven Grandchildren; Eight Great-Grand children; Six God Children; Sister, Dorthy W. Sharpe of Louisburg, North Carolina; Three Brothers; Donald Ray White of Louisburg North Carolina, Ronnie White of Edenton North Carolina, Jerry White of Edenton, North Carolina; God Parents, Phyllis and Raymond Stewart; as well as a host of nieces, nephews cousins, other relatives, and close friends.
