The moment in time has arrived and the Horton’s Funeral Home Family has been asked to announce to all that Pastor Cynthis Adaline White has permanently changed her address to 777 Highway 7, in that beautiful city called Heaven as of Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
A Triumphant Life and Legacy Celebration will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, commencing at 2pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations with Bishop Dr. K. L. Barber, Officiating and Pastor William K. Moore, Eulogist. A Viewing and Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 4pm-6pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations. While there, relatives and friends can unite in love and support for each other as they prepare to say “farewell.”
Immediately following the services in the chapel, Pastor White’s delicate temple along with her adored family, will be escorted to Cedarwood Cemetery for Committal Rites.
Inspirational minds can imagine Pastor White has settled into her brand-new mansion in glory, admiring the solid gold floors and walls mad of pure jasper. Not to mention her reunion with all of her friends and loved ones who have gone before her. Those that knew and loved Pastor White can find solace realizing, she is sitting at the welcome table feasting on milk and honey with the heavenly host. We can hear her echo the words “It is well with my soul”
Cynthis leaves to cherish her beautiful memory to an amazing host of family. She has three amazing children, Charleta Foreman of Greenville, NC, Marquitia Chamblee (Robert Chamblee) of Elizabeth City, NC and Douglas White, Jr. of Hertford, NC. Five siblings, Margaret Barber (Kennedy Barber) of Roper, NC, Anthony Foreman (Robin Foreman) of Elizabeth City, NC, James A. Newby, IlI, of Clarksville, IN, Anita Brooks of Chesapeake, VA and Gloria Woods of Chesapeake, VA. She has four special cousin siblings Evangeline Grant (King Mike), Bronx, New York, Brian Modlin (Christie), Winston-Salem, Elisha Cooper, Philadelphia, PA and Jarrod Cooper, Chesapeake, VA. Four Grandchildren who were the beats of her heart, Cyriah Foreman, Jaysha Wilson, Nikev Foreman and Ty'Lea Chamblee, her nieces and nephews who were like her very own children; Dennis C. Hunter (Brandi), Tyleata Simpson (Kwan), Priscilla Smith and Michaiah Smith (Lonnie), Jamal Hyman, Chervl Foreman, Dante' Foreman and Jalissa Newby. She also has other nieces and nephews that she loves dearly. She also leaves behind to cherish her memories, Florine Modlin (Aunt Polly), Jacqueline Cooper (Aunt Jackie), Gerry Tillett (Joyce), Gloria Tillett (Morris), Betty Long (Irvin), Dorothy Tillett (Alexander), her adoptive kids, Cynthia Perry, The Golden Girls, Thomas Brooks (special friend) and a list of people who made her final days easy and lovable.
