With determination to provide genuine comfort during this difficult moment in a family’s life, The Horton’s Funeral Home Family has been charged with the solemn duty to advise all that Mrs. Nita Kay Jones Wilson has transitioned from this life into life eternal as of Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
The services have been methodically arranged in an order that those special to Mrs. Wilson and her adored family can take part. Commencing on Saturday, January 31, 2026 a Memorial Service will take place at 12noon at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations.
John the Revelator has sent good news to Mrs. Wilson’s loving family when he sat one day and put pen to parchment writing, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and they shall be no more death neither sorrow because the former things have passed away.”

She leaves to cherish her loving memories five children, James Wilson, Rachel Burgess, Tracie Wilson, Anthony Wilson, and Sharonda Wilson, all of North Carolina; one sister, Charlie Mae Jones of Valley Grande; three brothers, Garrette Jones, Arthur Jones, and David Jones (Carolyn), all of Catherine, Alabama; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives whom she loved dearly.
