In extreme sorrow, the staff of Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations is embracing the tender hearts of the family of Mr. Melvin Lee Perry Sr. Mr. Perry entered into eternal rest on June 20, 2025 at Hertford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. 

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 1pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations. Mr. Perry will lie in peaceful repose from 12Noon until time of service. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss. 

Following the services in the chapel, Mr. Perry’s delicate temple along with his adored family will be escorted to the White Family Cemetery for committal rights.

Guests are being received at the residence of the daughter of the deceased, Shwanda McCullough located at 672 Carters Rd Gatesville, NC 27938 where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
