With sincere compassion and concern, The Horton Family stands hand in hand with the relatives of Mazzie Louise Twine, as they prepare to celebrate her lasting legacy. Ms. Twine transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, June 28, 2025 in Greenville, North Carolina. 

A Service to remember this precious jewel will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 11am at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations with Pastor Timothy Bell, Eulogist.  A Viewing and Visitation will take place Monday, July 7, 2025  from 6pm-8pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations. During this time, family and friends can gather and remember better days with Ms. Twine while relying on their faith to get them through this difficult time.

One may wonder why Mazzie would leave her earthly belongings here when she departed this past Saturday, however, those close to her find comfort understanding that where she is now, there was no need for any of her earthly garments or shoes because she has a pair of Golden Slippers and a Long White Robe. 

Guests are being received at located at 810 Johnson St. Edenton, North Carolina 27932 where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
