With tender hearts and compassionate hands, the Horton’s  Funeral Home Family announces the earthy transition of a gentle soul, Mrs. Mattie Marie Nixon Privott quietly stepped out of life's backdoor to meet her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. 

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 1pm at Ryan’s Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Privott. Mrs. Privott will lie in peaceful repose from 12Noon until time of service. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss. 

Immediately following the formalities in the Sanctuary, Mrs. Privott’s earthen vessel along with her cherished family will be escorted to Ryan’s Grove Baptist Church for Committal Rites.

Now Mattie can find peace knowing she is now sitting at the welcome table hearing the Master say “Well-Done” thou good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over the things on earth, now I will make you ruler over many.
