It is with sincere sadness that the Horton’s Funeral Home Family announces the earthly transition of Mr. Mark Leonard Mackey as he peacefully answered the Master's call on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Jamaica, New York.
Moments have been etched in time for family and friends to pay homage to Mark on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 12noon, where the Celebration of Life Service will be called to order in the sanctuary of Jobes Chapel Baptist Church in Swansquarter, NC.
Immediately following the formalities in the Sanctuary, Mr. Mackey’s earthen vessel along with his cherished family will be escorted to GreenHill Cemetery for Committal Rites.
As hard as it will be for Mark’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
