With sincere compassion and concern, the Horton Family stands hand in hand with the relatives of Mrs. Mamie Louise Morris as they prepare to celebrate her lasting legacy. Mrs. Morris transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday, January 28, 2024 receiving her heavenly summons while resting at Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation Center. 

A Triumphant Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 1 pm at Manteo First Assembly with Apostle Larry Shelton, Officiating. It will be an adjustment for Mrs. Morris’ family and friends not being able to spend time with her any longer while here.  However, the silver lining is just as the songwriter penned, “When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus we will sing and shout the victory.” 

Immediately following the order of service, a Private Committal Service will come forth in the Haven Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. It is in this place that her physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.

Guests are being received at the residence of the deceased located at 985 Driftwood Drive Manteo, NC 27954 where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
