Jesus loves the little children, all the little children of the world red, yellow, black and white they are all precious in his sight.

Since we know this to be true, we understand He only takes the very best. On Friday July 24,2020,  He called little Princess Makiia Sanai Slade to come play and enjoy a beautiful life in Heaven.

Intimate services to remember this precious angel will be held on Saturday August 1,2020 at 11am in the main sanctuary located on the campus of Open Door Church Edenton, NC. Makiia will be on view at Hortons Funeral Home Hertford, NC on Friday July 31,2020 from 5-7pm. During these lasting moments, family members and close friends will embrace the parents, grandparents and other relatives as we trust God during this challenging time. Following the Celebration in the sanctuary, little Miss Makiia will be escorted to the Beaver Hill Cemetery for burial.As pure as Makiia was in her short time here on earth, her family can find comfort knowing that she isn’t in the space they departed from on Friday, however, every time they see the sun shine or see a butterfly or even feel a soft breeze it will remind them that she is right there with them.
