Luther Irvin Bembry

Though the clouds may hang over  there will be a brighter day  in that land, they call heaven God shall wipe all tears away….. 

In extreme sorrow, the staff of Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations is embracing the tender hearts of the  family of Mr. Luther Irvin Bembry who entered into eternal rest on October 26,2025 at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Glen Oaks, NY. From there, he picked up his new wardrobe and golden keys for his everlasting life in Heaven.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday November 15,2025 at 10AM in the Sanctuary of Providence Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. John R. Shannon, officiating.

Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr. Bembry’s delicate temple along with his adored family will be escorted to the Vine Oak Cemetery for committal rights.Mr. Bembry was so much to so many and it will be difficult with him no longer being with us on this side. However, those who loved him can find solace knowing, he is now strolling the streets paved with pure gold free from all of life’s fitful fevers. There, he’s sitting at the Welcome Table feasting on milk and honey while enjoying being in the presence of his Heavenly Father. 

He leaves behind his children, Victoria, Kimberly, Trisha & Rohan; and his cherished grandchildren: Shaun, Kimberly, Timothy, Nia, Aiden, Malia, and Sasha. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, London, & Gabriel. {3 Ex-wife’s Gwendolyn, Laurice, & Nankumara.}
