With an abundance of love and concern, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family is embracing the loved ones of Mrs. Lula Catherine Johnson as they prepare to say “Farewell” to a link to their family chain. Mrs. Johnson closed the curtains on this journey called life August 4,2025 at Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Edenton, NC. 

Services to commemorate Lula’s Life will begin with a public visitation on Saturday August 9,2025 between the hours of 10am and 11am at Soul Chain Ministries with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11am with Elder Larry Cherry, officiating. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss. 

Immediately following the services in the sanctuary, Mrs. Johnson’s delicate temple will be escorted to the Beaver Hill Cemetery for internment rights.

Guests are being received at 411 Haughton Road Edenton,NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
