Lula Beatrice (Foster) Downing

Our loving arms of compassion are wrapped around the heartbroken shoulders of the family of Lula Beatrice Foster Downing who answered the Master's Call on Tuesday November 28,2023 at her residence.

On Sunday December 3,2023 beginning at 2pm a Formal Service of Remembrance will be held at Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel Hertford, NC with Pastor Michael Vaughn, officiating. Viewing and Visitation will take place Saturday December 2,2023 at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations from 5-7pm. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss. Immediately following the services in the Chapel Mrs. Downing’s earthen vessel along with her cherished family will be escorted to Cedar Wood Cemetery Hertford,NC for committal rights. 

As hard as it will be for Mrs. Downing’s loved ones to depart without her, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”

Guests are being received at the  residence of the deceased located at 101 Church Street Hertford, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
