With an abundance of love and concern, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family is embracing the loved ones of Mrs. Louise Knight as they prepare to say “Farewell” to a link to their family chain. Mrs. Knight closed the curtains on this journey called life Tuesday May 14,2024 at Hertford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Services to commemorate Mrs. Knights Life will begin with a public visitation on Tuesday May 21,2024 between the hours of 6pm and 8pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday May 22,2024 commencing at 12noon at Ellis Temple Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Eason, officiating . During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss.
Following the life honoring services in the sanctuary, Mrs. Knight along with her adored family, will be escorted to her earthly resting place in the Hobbs Family Cemetery.
As hard as it will be for Mrs. Knight’s loved ones to depart without her, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; loving sister, Eunice Jones of Florida; uncle, William Hurdle of North Carolina; goddaughter, Darlene Shambly of North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Knight; six sisters, Emma Etheridge, Arentha Clark, Thelma McPhaul, Ruth Moon, Shirley Bragg and Delois Felton.
The professionals at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations are accommodating each request and personal desire of the Knight and connected families.
