Lillie (Blount) Lightfoot

Mrs. Lillie Blount Lightfoot no longer answers to her name on this side of the Jordan and the staff of Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations are comforting her heartbroken loved ones with sincere compassion. Mrs. Lightfoot wrote the last sentence of her “Life Sketch” on Wednesday, November 25th at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville,North Carolina. 

The Legacy Remembering events will commence on Saturday evening December 5,2020 for moments of visitation and reflection from 5 pm until 7 pm at the Horton Funeral Home Chapel in Hertford, NC. On Sunday, December 6,2020 promptly at 1 pm a Triumphant Homegoing Celebration will begin for Mrs. Lightfoot at Horton’s Funeral Home Chapel. Following the Order of Divine Worship in the Chapel, Mrs. Lightfoot’s delicate vessel along with her adored family will be escorted to the Beaver Hill Cemetery for Interment Rites. Yes this is as far as Mrs. Lightfoot’s relatives can trod with her on this side of eternity, It will be an adjustment for her relatives not being able to spend time with her any longer while here. However, the silver lining is just as the songwriter penned, “When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus we will sing and shout the victory.
