The Glorious and Triumphant Life Celebration events have been methodically orchestrated and will proceed in the following order. Beginning on Saturday, December 17,2022 between the evening hours of 4pm and 6pm a public gathering will come forth as “Shakka” lies in tranquil repose at Horton’s Funeral Home Cremations. On Sunday, December 18,2022 being called to order promptly at 1 o’clock Post Meridian, the Celebration of Life will take place at Edenton United Methodist Church with Elder Colon James, officiating.
Now all can find peace knowing he is now sitting at the welcome table hearing the Master say “Well-Done” thou good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over the things on earth, now I will make you ruler over many.
Shakka leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life, Lahyahlah (Lynn) Jackson; a daughter, Tamara Drew (Rashad), Edenton, NC; three sons, Lessel Bond (Beverly), Greenville, NC; Kerrick Jackson (Denae) and Deaulman Drew (Tamika), of Edenton, NC; four sisters, Sandy Davenport (Glenn), Wendell, NC; Florence Jackson and Carolyn Jackson, Edenton, NC; and Ann Tabor (Tony), Connecticut; 16 grandchildren; Veronica Jordan, Raleigh, NC; Semenyah (Sommer) Jordan, Greenville, NC; Abiya Jackson, Gabrielle Jackson, Demetri Jackson, Charity Jackson, Paris Jackson, Zhane Drew, Jauliya Drew, Deaulman Drew, Ezekial Drew, Brayden Miller, Ashley Miller, Kharter Jackson, Kavion Jackson, and Keandra Mizzelle; four great-grandchildren, Genesis Horton, Lahyahla Jordan, Cymone Jordan, and Eden Coston; mother-in-law, Pauline Granby of Edenton, NC; sisters-in-law, Judy James (Colon), Pauline Lassiter (W.B.), and Lisa Holley, all of Edenton, NC; three very special friends, Ethan Blount, Rashad Downing, and Jerry Nixon, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
