Leroy “Boogie” McClease

With tender hearts and compassionate hands, the Horton’s  Funeral Home Family announces the earthy transition of a gentle soul, Mr. Leroy McClease affectionately known as “Boogie” quietly stepped out of life's backdoor to meet his Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 24, 2024. 

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 1pm in the Sanctuary of Free Grace Church of Christ in Manteo, NC with Vice Bishop Kevin White, Officiating. As hard as it will be for “Boogie’s” loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by. 

Following the services in the sanctuary, “Boogie’s” delicate temple along with his adored family will be escorted to the Free Grace Church Cemetery for committal rights.
