Larry Thomas Parker

As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Mr. Larry Thomas Parker as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with him. Mr. Parker got his ticket and stepped on that Morning Train on Sunday, December 4, 2022. 

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Larry have been finalized and will commence beginning with a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 3pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations in Hertford, NC. Mr. Parker will lie in state from 2pm until time of service. 

Immediately following the order of service, an intimate Committal Service will come forth in the Cedarwood Cemetery. It is in this place that his physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.

As hard as it will be for Larry’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
