With many mixed emotions and understandable broken hearts,the Horton Family joins with the family of Mr. Lamar Jacquon Ford as they prepare to say “Rest In Peace”. Mr. Ford entered into eternal rest on May 26,2024 in Edenton, NC.
The Viewing and Visitation will take place on June 7,2024 at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations from 6pm-8pm. On June 8,2024 beginning at 2pm a Celebratory Service of Remembrance will be held at Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with Dr. Darius J. Horton, officiating. Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr.Ford’s delicate temple along with his adored family will be escorted to the Beaver Hill Cemetery for committal rights. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss.
Guests are being received at the residence of his grandmother located at 116 West Freemason Street Edenton, NC 27932 where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
Lamar leaves to cherish his memories his mother Evelyn White (Paul), Father Dexter Jernigan. Bother Dexter Ford and sisters LaQuanna Ferebee and Jacqueline Ford. Maternal grandmother Thelma Ford, Great grandmothers Thelma Moore and Louis Britt. Three nieces Ciana, Nolah and A’niya. Four uncles Roy Ford, Herbert Ford, Juluis Jernigan and Warren Shannon; one Aunt Melinda Chamblee. God-Siblings Malik, Jania, and Ja’Shawn. Four close friends Thadeus, Manny, Mark and Keymon. A “special” Cousin Martha Gregory and his loving dog Sage. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
