LaVerne Martina Basnight

The staff and management of the Horton’s Funeral Home embrace the loving family of Mrs. LaVerne Martina Basnight as they remember this precious jewel. Mrs. Basnight retired from life’s fitful fevers and answered the masters call on October 31,2020.

The Obsequies for Mrs. Basnight will begin on Sunday, November 8, 2020 with a public visitation between the hour of 1pm and 2pm in the Sanctuary of Salem Missionary Baptist Church. The events will continue with a Triumphant Celebration of Life commencing at 2pm at Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia, NC. After the service in the Sanctuary, Mrs. Basnight and her adored family will be escorted to Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. It will be in this designated location that Mrs. Basnight will remain until Gabriel blows his trumpet and the King of Kings descends from Heaven with one foot on the celestial seas and one foot on a crimson cloud commanding all of His beloved children to enter into their mansion beyond the skies.
