Kenneth Earl Burrus

As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Mr. Kenneth Earl Burrus as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with him. Mr. Burrus got his ticket and stepped on that Morning Train Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Kenneth have been finalized and will commence on Saturday, September 24, 2022 with a Celebration of Life at 2pm at Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Following the formalities in the Sanctuary, the Celebration of Life will continue at Martel’s Restaurant in Engelhard, NC for a Dutch Celebratory Dinner  

As hard as it will be for Mr. Burrus’ loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
