John Beale Sneed

With genuine sympathy, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family announces the transition of Mr. John Beale Sneed from this Life to Life eternal on November 26,2022 at Maryview Medical Center Portsmouth,VA.

The Celebration of Life events will be held on Sunday December 4,2022 beginning with a public viewing and visitation at the Mt. Sinai Church of God in Murfreesboro,NC between the hours of 1pm-2pm.Beginning promptly at 2pm at Mt. Sinai Church of God a Homegoing Celebration will be called to order with Bishop Arthur Clark, officiating and Elder Stanley Worrell delivering the eulogy. Immediately following the recessional out of the sanctuary, Mr. Sneed’s physical temple along with his cherished family will be escorted to the Carver Park Cemetery for Interment Rites. 

It will be an adjustment for Mr. Sneed’s family and friends not being able to spend time with him any longer while here.  However, the silver lining is just as the songwriter penned, “When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus we will sing and shout the victory.” 

Left to cherish his precious memories are his loving wife of 27 years, Comoria Sneed of the home; children, Alicia Boone (Jerome Boone), John Sneed Jr., Angela Williams (Eric Williams), Stephanie Scott(James Scott), Demetris Ferguson (Leon Ferguson), Ebony L. Sneed, Johmoria Sneed and Susie Sneed; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Collin Sneed ;Tina Sneed), Vanessa Gatling (Wayne Gatling), Debra Flythe (George Flythe) Margaret Alexander (Chris Alexander), Mary Reid, Essie Joyner (Lawrence Joyner) Wesley Sneed(Friend Linda Davis); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, brothers and sister in-laws, cousins and friends.

The Family has selected the caring Professionals of Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations to carry out the last rites ceremonies.
