As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Mr.John Dionte Hoffler affectionately called “Smilley”as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with him. Mr. Hoffler got his ticket and stepped on that Morning Train Wednesday May 6,2026 at his residence.
The Glorious and Triumphant Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held Thursday May 14,2026 at 12noon at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop Daryl Banks, officiating . Viewing and visitation will take place on Wednesday from 4 PM through 6 PM at Horton‘s Funeral Home and Cremation‘s Hertford.
Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr. Hoffler delicate temple along with his adored family will be escorted to the Westlawn Cemetery for committal rights.
Guests are being received at 763 Mt. Herman Church Road where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
As hard as it will be for loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
