With tender hearts and compassionate hands, the Horton’s  Funeral Home Family announces the earthly transition of a gentle soul, Mr. John Grissom Jr. as he quietly stepped out of life's backdoor to meet his Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 8, 2023. 

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 1pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations with Dr. Darius Horton, Officiating. Mr. Grissom will lie in peaceful repose from 12Noon until time of service.  During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss. 

Immediately following the formalities in the Chapel, Mr. Grissom earthen vessel along with his cherished family will be escort even to Beaver Hill Cemetery for Committal Rites.

Now John can find peace knowing he is now sitting at the welcome table hearing the Master say “Well-Done” thou good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over the things on earth, now I will make you ruler over many.
