Our loving arms of compassion are wrapped around the heartbroken shoulders of the family of Mr. Jessie Cartwright who answered the Master's Call on Saturday December 6,2025 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center Elizabeth City, NC.

On Monday December 15,2025 beginning at 12noon a Triumphant Celebration of Life Service will be held at Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel Hertford, NC with Pastor Kera Johnson,officiating. Viewing and Visitation will take place from 11am until time of service.During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss. Immediately following the services in the Chapel Jessie’s  earthen vessel along with his cherished family will be escorted to Oak Grove Cemetery Elizabeth City,NC for committal rights. 

As hard as it will be for Jessie’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”

Guests are being received at 203 Pritchard Street Elizabeth City where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
