Jermaine Latroy Perry

With heavy hearts and solemn emotions, the loved ones of Mr. Jermaine Latroy Perry are preparing to say “so long” to a special link to their family’s chain and are being assisted with this difficult task by the Horton’s Funeral Home Family. Mr. Perry went down to the ticketing office on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 and the train conductor Jesus Christ issued him a boarding pass bound for life in Paradise. 

On Thursday, August 31, 2023, a Loving “Farewel” Ceremony will take place at 11am in the Sanctuary of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church Colerain, NC with Rev. Nathaniel J. Thompson, officiating. He will lie in state from 10:00am until time of service. Following the services, Jermaine’s physical temple along with his adored family will be escorted to the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery for Committal Rites. Although Jermaine closed the drapes on this daily walk called life, those whom he loved and loved him can find solace knowing he has walked into the Garden of Rest, where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Sarah Perry and sister, Vicky Perry and eight brother in laws.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Teresa Grissom Perry of Edenton, NC; daughter, Jaziyah Perry of Colerain, NC; father, James Perry of Colerain, NC; two sisters, Crystal Perry of Colerain, NC and Aletha Perry (Robert) of Middletown, CT; brother, Clinton Perry (Traniece) of Middletown, CT; seven aunts, one great aunt, one uncle, five sisters in laws, one brother in law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and a good and dear friend, Curtis Holley.
