With humbled hearts and consoling minds, the Horton Funeral Home Family serves notice that Jermaine Calvin Major affectionately called “Major Payne” entered into eternal rest on February 8,2024 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

The Glorious and Triumphant Life Celebration events have been methodically orchestrated and will proceed in the following order.  Beginning on Wednesday , February 21,2024 between the evening hours of 6pm and 8pm a public gathering will come forth as Jermaine Lies in tranquil repose at Horton’s Funeral Home Cremations. On Thursday February 22,2024 being called to order promptly at 2pm The Celebration of Life will take place at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremation’s . Immediately following the services in the Chapel, Jermaine’s earthen vessel along with his adored family will be escorted to Cedarwood Cemetery for Interment Rites.  As hard as it will be for Jermaine’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing....We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
