With sincere compassion and concern, the Horton Family stands hand in hand with the relatives of Mrs. Janis Lee Privott as they prepare to celebrate her lasting legacy. Janis transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, January 8,2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Services commemorating this priceless gem will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in the Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel at 2pm. Following the Order of Divine Worship, Mrs. Privott’s delicate vessel along with her adored family will be escorted to the Beaver Hill Cemetery in Edenton, NC for the Committal Rites. Reflecting moments for Viewing and Visitation have been reserved by the family on Friday January 14,2022 from 6-8pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations.
Guests are being received at the residence of the deceased located at 303 Old Hertford Road Building 1100 Apt 1 Edenton, NC 27932 where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
Janis leaves a legacy of beautiful memories to her children: Jennifer (John) Skinner, Angela Privott, Katrina Young, Priscilla Privott, Keisha Williams, Edith Whidbee, Sandell Williams, and Courtley Blount; her grandchildren: Torzay, Tyheim, Arinayzia, Matias, Qatias, Asalah, Sincere, Kenzatrea, Jaquan, Thyiem, Quartavis, Khyiem, and Zaumeyer; her great-grandkids: Chance, Raelynn, Khamari, Elliana, and Tor’zayvion; her sisters: Mary Rome, Betty (Vernon) Privott, Hannah Hassell, Annie Nevis, Mary Riddick, Annette Williams, and Denise Cofield; her brothers: Curtis (Carolyn) Anthony, Joe Valentine, James Moore, and Willie (Darlene) Moore; sisters-in-law: Annie (James) Copeland, Dorothy (Marshall) Jordan, and Hattie Welch Privott; close friends: Kay Armstead, Elaine Elliott, and Alice Barco; and a host of other relatives and friends.
