Janet Fuller Obituary

With heavy hearts and solemn emotions the loved ones of Mrs. Janet Lee Williams Fuller are preparing to say “so long” to a vital link to their family’s chain and are being assisted with this difficult task by the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremation Family.  Mrs. Fuller went down to the ticketing office while at her residence in Elizabeth City, NC on Thursday February 13,2020 and the train conductor Jesus Christ issued her a boarding pass stamped well done bound for life in Paradise.

The Service of Remembrance events will begin with two hours of Viewing and Visitation on Saturday, February 22, 2020 between the hours of 9am to 11am at Greater Saunders Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 146 Chinquapin Road Hertford, NC. Following the hours of Visitation, a Glorious Homegoing Celebration will commence at 11am with Bishop Landon B. Mason, Sr., officiating. Immediately following the formalities in the house of God, Mrs. Fullers precious temple along with her cherished family will be escorted to the Doziers Thicket Cemetery for Committal Rites. Yes, this is a very hard task for Mrs. Fuller’s family to endure, yet they can rest knowing she is in the number John spoke of in the book of Revelations when it stated “those are they who have come up through hard trials and tribulations and have washed their robes in the Blood of the Lamb."

Janet’s life was full of passion and she had an amazing zest for life. She gave her life to Christ at an early age at Grace Baptist Church of Germantown under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright Sr. where she attended with her mother.

Janet attended Germantown High School where she was in a special academically gifted track.  She completed vocational training at Murrell Dobbins Technical School in Radiological Technology Studies. Janet interned and later joined the staff as an X-ray Technologist at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. She became one of the few X-Ray Technologist that worked in special studies with one of the pioneering “fathers” of Interventional Radiology.   She often taught doctors that travelled from all over the country – and the world – to learn the procedures she helped develop with her longtime colleague and friend Mary Guy.

Janet is survived by her eternal love and husband, Ralph Fuller. Her brother Theodore Williams, her daughters Misty Fuller (Dan Powers), Jessica Fuller Hines (Ernest Travis Hines), two grandchildren Rachel Elisha Lee Hines and Ethan Hines, her pride and joy.  Her niece Marla Neal, He sisters-in-law Bernice “Franny” Garrison, Carol Edwards and Janice Arnold, her nieces and nephews Joy Solomon (Vincent), Dawn Reed (Thuron), Chris Ridenhour, Stacey Bryant, Rob Garrison (Alex), Amber Arnold. Grand nieces and nephews include Christian, Joshua, Clinton and Cameron, Jailynn, Caanan, Ayanna, Omari. Best friends Lucy Rouse and Brenda Greene and Elise Bethea. A whole host of other loving family and friends that became family.

The compassionate professionals at Horton’s Funeral Homes and Cremations are working around the clock to ensure that the Fuller and connected families every need is attended too.
