James Edward Hill

With a multitude of compassion and concern, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family announces the earthly departure of Mr. James Edward Hill. Mr. Hill pulled the drapes on this journey called life on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in Edenton, NC.

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for James have been finalized and will commence on Sunday, November 13, 2022 with a Memorial Service at Chowan County Waterfront Park at 1pm. 

As hard as it will be for James’ loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.” 

The Professionals at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations are accommodating each request and personal desire of the Hill and connected families.
