James Alvin Blackmond

The moment has come and the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family has been given the solemn duty to announce that Mr. James Alvin Blackmond is no longer troubled with the cares of this world but he is now resting among the Heavenly Host. Mr. Blackmond began his life of everlasting peace on Thursday, December 1, 2022. 

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Mr. Blackmond have been finalized and will commence on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 1pm at Haven Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Blackmond will lie in state from 12noon until time of service. 

Immediately following the formalities in the Sanctuary, Mr. Blackmond’s earthen vessel along with his cherished family will be escorted to the Haven Creek Baptist Church Cemetery for Committal Rites.

Yes, this is as far as Mr. Blackmond’s relatives can trod with him on this side of eternity, however, John the Revelator has sent good news to his loving family when he wrote, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and they shall be no more death neither sorrow because the former things have passed away.” Let the church say......... Amen.
