It is with sincere sadness that the Horton’s Funeral Home Family announces the earthly transition of Ms. Hattie Michelle Privott as she peacefully answered the Master's call on Monday, September 18, 2023 in Duluth, Georgia.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations at 1pm.
As hard as it will be for Hattie’s loved ones to depart without her, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, husband, Ivan Soto Cortez of Mexico; daughter, Precious Privott of Dallas, Texas; 2 sons, Markel Soto and Znere Privott of the home; sister and best friend, Elizabeth Privott of Edenton NC; sister Lisa McMiller of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Gerald Privott (Blanche) of Edenton NC, Willie D. Privott of Virginia, and Hubert Privott of Edenton, NC.
She also leaves to cherished memories to her aunts, Annie Mae Copeland (Ercell), Doris Wilson (Ervin), Belinda Boyce, Mary Cofield (William), Edis Brooks (Alfred), Fannie Hays (James), Mildred McIntosh (Everton), and Mattie Carter; uncle, Leory Beasley; adopted aunt, Carol Dillard and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
