Harriet Nixon Rouse

With sincere compassion and concern, the Horton Family stands hand in hand with the relatives of Ms. Harriet Nixon Rouse as they prepare to celebrate her lasting legacy. Ms. Rouse transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 11am at New Roadside Cemetery in Hertford, NC. It will be an adjustment for Ms. Rouse’s family and friends not being able to spend time with her any longer while here.  However, the silver lining is just as the songwriter penned, “When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus we will sing and shout the victory.” 

The professionals at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations are accommodating each request and personal desire of the Rouse and connected families.
