It is with sincere sadness that the Horton Funeral Home Family announces the earthly transition of Mrs. Gloria Jean Holley peacefully answered the Master's call on July 12,2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Moments have been etched in time for family and friends to pay homage to Gloria. Viewing and Visitation will take place at the funeral home Wednesday July 21,2021 from 6-8pm.On Thursday July 22,2021 at 11am, A Triumphant  Celebration of Life Service will be called to order in the Chapel of Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations. Immediately following the services in the Chapel Mrs. Holley’s earthen vessel along with her cherished family will be escorted to Ryan’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery for Committal Rites. As hard as it will be for Gloria’s loved ones to depart without her, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”

Gloria leaves to cherish her memories her husband,Steve Lawrence Holley of the home;  daughter, Kaleisha Desiree Holley of Edenton,NC; grandson, Jakeim Nyeir Taylor; godson, Nelly Dawneq Hernandez of Edenton NC; sister, Charlene Mabine of Elizebeth City NC. One bother, John Mizzlle Mabine of Edenton NC; two uncles, Walter Lee Williams of Edenton NC,John Sam Williams of West Virginia; one aunt; Florida Mae Williams Fayton of Edenton NC; four brother in-laws, Mark Holley, Randy Holley, Dennis Holley all of Tyner,NC. Rodney Holley of Edenton NC and a host of host of cousins and friends.

Guests are being received at the residence located at 305 East Queen Street Edenton, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
