With an abundance of love and concern, the Horton Family is embracing the heartbroken loved ones of Mr. George Melvin Collins as they prepare to say “Farewell” to this vital link to their family chain. Mr. Collins closed the curtains on this journey called life on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Unique Rehabilitation and Health Center in Washington, DC. 

Details for George’s Life Honoring Services are finalized and have been asked to be announced thusly. On Thursday, April 24, 2025, A Viewing and Visitation will take place from 6pm to 8pm at Isle of Patmos Baptist Church in Washington, DC. A Triumphant Celebration of Life Service will take place in the Chapel of Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 10am. Mr. Collins will Lie in State from 9am until time of service. 

Following the services in the chapel, Mr. Collins’ earthly vessel along with his adored family will be escorted to Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens for Committal Rites.
